Welcome to the forest of Viaud, a forgotten place with a dungeon in its center. The rediscovery of this dungeon and the treasures it conceals has led to an influx of many peoples to take control of it.
Everyone has established their camp on the edge of the forest, ready to do battle, to settle a new economy and to reign on the ways to establish their power in this place. Skirmishes will take place, the most courageous peoples will dare to build outposts, will recruit units as close as possible to the dungeon and their opponents.
Each people has its special abilities, a season that makes it stronger, but how long will the current season last and when will yours come? No one can master these elements. At each turn, you will discover a punctual, ephemeral power, to be optimized as best as possible to develop yourself or fight your opponents!

Battles For A Dungeon is a strategy and placement game. As in all the games created by Mathieu Roussignol, the freedom of the players is huge, your choices have a strong impact on the other players’ strategies, no dice are to be rolled, the luck is present but very limited. You will find here an easy accessibility for a game including a lot of possible strategies. Peoples have perfectly balanced asymmetric powers/characteristics, so that everyone can play as he wants and has the same chance to win the game!
